I am pretty sure there's a topic about this around here somewhere, I just can't remember where it is...
How do you play the school game on the v4? For say, Mr. Turtle... hoe do you know where the pencil is? (or is it a complete guess?)
... I'm getting really tired of poop dropped on my head! :tama4:

I'm not sure if there is a topic about it. I think I may have read a description of it in someones log, but that was a long time ago.
But here's how you win at find the pencil/sparkle/flower.
The teacher will always put the item in the box on the right hand side.
Then the boxes will start flashing two at a time. If the box with the item in flashes it means it has swapped places with the other flashing one, If it doesn't flash first then it stays in the same place. So you have to watch which two boxes 'flash' to see where the item has moved to each time. When the boxes stop flashing the tama will always move to the middle position, so you have to use the 'A' button to move it to where you want it to stand (under the item- not the poo!) and then use 'B' to select that box.
I made a small video of this the other day- it's a bit shaky as I was holding the camera with one hand and using a pen to point with in the other.

Just some notes about the built-in school game:
- The prize is 3 skill points per win / 0 points per lose.
- Points from only first 10 games per day are accumulated (maximum 30 points per day). To explain: if you win only 7 out of the first 10 games you play this morning, you will get 21 points. Even if you win the game again today, you won't get more points.
- Playing / winning has no effect on weight.
- Playing / winning has no effect on happy hearts.

Hmm.. Spudi explained it really well. It's essentially 3-Card Monte. Your teacher has one icon and two poops, and mixes them around and asks you to find the icon. The teacher shows you where it starts--on the right. The the teacher wraps them in presents and swaps them. The key, as Spudi says, is the flashing. When two presents flash, they are switching places. When I play, I always point to the right present with my fingernail. Whenever it moves, I move my finger to its current spot. That helps me keep track.
Anyway, then you move your Tama using the A button so that he or she is right under the correct present, and click B.

O it's quite simple acctualy, I didn't get it at first though!
First you go to the connection heart on your tamagotchi.
Then you will see "work" up on your connection list.
Select it once it says "away" press B.
You will see your tamagotchi entering the school.
Once your tamagotchi's there the teacher will walk in.
He will Show you a pencil above his head,
then he will wrap it.
Then he will show you to presents that are already wrapped.
He will move the presents around and, you have to follow the one present with the pencil in it.
After he's done scattering the presents he will go away.
You have to guess the one with the pencil, Sparkle, or Flower.
(for the different teacher you choose).
If you guess the right one he will reward you with "Skill points".
Yep that's how you do it!

ok this is the right answer,
to play the game teacher: Mr. Turtle, Mr. Canvas, Ms.Flower will put up the item : fortune cookie, gergiousness (the flower looking thing) and the pencil looking thingi, its like watch the the cups and you watch it
It might for instance swap with the first box then swap with the 3rd box and ect then choose the box that you KNOW!!!! has the item in

You have to follow it with your finger. When ever the game starts, the present is always on the far right. Just say that one blinks and so does the middle one. Now the present is in the middle box. Now say the left ane right boxes switch. Since your present was in the middle box it didn't moxe since that box didn't switch with anything else. Now the middle and left boxes switch. I can like, really help you. What happens is: If you label the boxes A, B and C like the buttons, it wiould be much easier OK. What I found out is: The pencil ALWAYS starts on PRESENT C. Then you know how two pressie's always falsh?? Yeah well when they do that, it swaps the two things inside. So if presents say, A and C falsh at the same time, the contents swap. So whatever was in present C, will now be in presnt A. And whatever was in present A will now be in present C. Sobasically you just have to follow the swaps. I hope this helped and let me tell you now it DOES work. I did it every time with my V4 Tama and now I have 893 Intellectual points. Pretty good hey?? Hope the same luck that I had comes to you!!
**NOTE**
If the pencil is in present C and the presents A and B swap, then the pencil will stay in present C. Just thought I would tell you.
