I have made a chart to show which foods are meals and which foods are snacks. When you have them in your shop on your toy you don't know which is which.
A meal will only add 1lb in weight and can only be used when your tama is hungry. A snack will add 2lbs and can be fed any time and will fill one heart (unlike on V2 where all shop bought items went into treats and would fill 2 hearts).
Tip, if you know your characters favourite item(which will fill 4 happy hearts), you can check on here to see if it's a meal or a snack and whether you can also buy it from Tama-town. (I always like getting Obotchi as I can buy loads of juice from tama-town and keep him happy!)
You can print this chart out and use it along side the likes/dislikes chart that -Ra- has made.
